A quick video on Siteground website builder tool, free version versus paid version. I have been hosting with Siteground shared hosting for over 8 years, and this plan come with free website builder tool. What they doesn’t tell you is that the basic website builder tool is very limited in features and you need to activate it from your control panel before you can use it. Login to your Siteground user account and go to add service, choose site builder and click to activate the free version. This free site builder allows you to create unlimited pages and the standard drag and drop feature builder is provided. If you want to remove the footer or change the favicon, you will need to upgrade to starter plan at $7.42 a month. And for business user who want to create product page or ecommerce page, you will have to upgrade further and up to $24 dollars a month, which is very expensive. For my users, I recommend to go for open source scripts. Go to Siteground cPanel and choose Softaculous and choose the CMS section. There is Joomla for membership pages, and the WordPress can be converted into business website as well. If you need ecommerce shopping card, there is oscommerce, zencart and prestashop available for free.
